Non-Operating Revenues and Expenses

Is where both revenues and/or expenses can be attributed to the company's non-core activities.  For example, non-operating revenues may be from dividends or capital gains from investments in outside securities.  Non-operationg expenses may result from restructuring or reorganizing, currency exchange,  or to employee benefits, such as pension contributions.
